Now, part of  my brain wanted to rewind, and say, “of course, because I want to help people,” which is also true.

But really, I geek out on this stuff—Tarot, Astrology, the Akashic Records—because I love it. It’s just so freakin’ cool.

I have been a metaphysical student my whole life, from induction into Transcendental Meditation at age 6, learning to astral travel, and playing with my mom’s Tarot cards as a kid. My natal chart indicates that I am here to explore meaning, embody radical self-love, and be my own spiritual teacher, and that is so true.

Meaning is my jam. Self-love is my quest. Barbara Brennan said in one of her lectures that self-hatred was the true malaise of human-kind. Translated into beliefs like “I’m not enough” or “I don’t deserve love,” I kinda have to agree with her. Healing these wounds is certainly  a part of my own spiritual journey.

Because I am me, I need to make meaning of my life, my experiences, and why I’m here. I have found clues, answers, and guidance from understanding the dynamics of Astrology in my life, or from downloading past life info from the Akashic Records, or making contact with my Spirit Guides. And when I’m just having a bad morning and need a little insight, the Tarot never does me wrong.

For me, playing in the sacred arts is a creative act that helps clarify my life, remember who I am, get unstuck.

The sacred arts are not ways to predict what will  happen–I don’t believe the future is carved in stone–but rather are ways to clarify the road ahead, or integrate the past. And create an interesting, joyful future.

What’s not to love about that?

All these modalities act as reminders, as well, of what we’re innately good at, meant for, and can tap into with ease (why do we always overlook what is easy?). It’s good to remember the easy things–our talents and innate skills–in the personal growth journey, ‘cause it’s so typical to get bogged down in what we perceive needs to be fixed.

In taking my knowledge of these sacred arts beyond myself, my main intent is to inspire, inject a little fun, a bit of curiosity. Really, I want you to come and play with me, and in the creative act of doing so, come away with more of yourself, a new idea of what is possible, and an empowered ability to create the life you want.
